Enjoy a spring getaway at Osmington Holiday Park
This part of Dorset is almost entirely an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with spectacular and unique sites to visit. Top of the list has to be the awesome seventeen mile Chesil Beach, which is just one small section of the World Heritage Status Jurassic Coastline.
Getting to and around Weymouth is easy, even by
public transport. With a bus stop less than a mile
from the park entrance, it’s easy to get out and
about. A bus runs every other hour, taking twenty
minutes to get reach Weymouth’s town centre.
Don’t stop there though. This part of Dorset is
almost entirely an Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty, with spectacular and unique sites to visit.
Top of the list has to be the awesome seventeen
mile Chesil Beach, which is just one small section
of the World Heritage Status Jurassic Coastline.
The list of remarkable places to visit is endless,
but some not-to-be-missed highlights are
Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Portland Bill
lighthouse and the chalk giant at Cerne Abbas.
Of course, days out needn’t include a car.
There are fabulous cycle paths and trails
across Dorset. Or if two wheels don’t suit you,
what about four legs?
The park is just around
the corner from the Ranch House Stables.
All ages and abilities are catered for, from a half

Equally popular is the nearby coarse fishing
lake.
If you’re a keen angler, you can arrange
a day permit and check out the rules at
Reception. Wally’s Lake is a two acre lake
which is well-stocked with carp, bream,
roach, tench and skimmer bream, up to 15lb.
The record catch was a 23lb carp, so be sure
to bring a landing net up to 37” if you’re going
for carp. There is a closed season between
mid March and end May, so please do check when
booking.
